The news keeps shouting “prepare,” and a lot of us feel that message land in our bodies as tension, worry, and sleepless scanning for what could go wrong. I wanted to offer something simpler and steadier: a prayer of protection you can return to when your mind starts racing. After a quick hello and a genuine thank-you to listeners around the world, I share why I felt led to read a passage that has comforted people for generations.

Psalm 91 is often called a refuge psalm, and you can hear why. It speaks in images your nervous system understands: shelter, shadow, wings, shield, and safety. I read the full psalm aloud, touching on fear at night, dangers by day, and the promise of God’s presence when life feels unstable. If you’ve been looking for Christian encouragement, a protection prayer, or a faith-based way to calm anxiety during uncertain times, this is a short listen with room to breathe.

I also leave you with a challenge that doesn’t require religious performance: if you want to know whether God is real, ask honestly. Try the simplest prayer possible, even if you’re skeptical: “God, if you’re real, present yourself.” Listen through, share this with someone who needs comfort, and if the podcast helps you, subscribe and leave a review so more people can find it when they need steadiness most.
